Aakansha Bariar
A post graduate in Mass Communication, Aakansha Bariar has over 8 years of experience in media research. Aakansha Bariar handles the editorial part of various political & social research projects of CVoter. She is entrusted with the responsibility of evaluation exercises, designing of studies and quantitative data collection for the research and survey projects. She has played key roles in empirical research in multi-cultural environments across diverse demographics during opinion and exit polls in states like West Bengal, Delhi etc. Based in Delhi, she is proficient in Hindi, English & Bengali languages.

She likes reading and believes that reading not only helps her broaden her horizon but also helps her understand people and things in different perspectives

Abdul Mannan
A Research Professional with 19 years of experience in rural, political, electoral and social research, Abdul Mannan started his career with the Population Research Center (PRC). The PRC is sponsored and fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. He began as a “Field Investigator” in the same organization in 2000.

Abdul Mannan holds a B.A. (Hons.) degree in Economics from BR Ambedkar University, Muzaffarpur and PG Diploma in Computer Sciences from LCC Kolkata.

Abdul Mannan has been associated with CVoter since 2001. Currently, he is working as Quantitative Editor for CVoter since 2013. The prominent research he has been involved in are: Impact Assessment of Swiss Solidarity’s tsunami relief projects in India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

Presently, he is managing an in-depth survey about Electoral Reforms for Indian states, Socio-Economic Slum Survey, Household and Livelihood Survey, Micro Planning & Preparation of Slum Profile, Poverty Profile and Livelihood Profile for cities/ towns in Chhattisgarh under Urban Statistics for Human Resources and Assessments (USHA).

As a socio-economic analyst, Mannan has worked across 3 continents and conducted socio-economic research in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Seychelles.

He loves reading, practices Yoga and gardening.

Ajit Shukla
Ajit Shukla is a veteran social and political researcher, specializing in predictive analysis. Working since 2001, he has grown an intense insight into ground level realities of most states in the country. Hence, he understands the socio-political dynamics and interplay of different forces both at state and national levels. He is involved in a continuous process of upgradation of qualitative inputs, and thus he has specialized in incisive reading of quantitative data.

His experience suitably positions him to design surveys, training, documentation and monitoring of fieldwork. He has directed and conducted hundreds of surveys examining electorate trends and citizen behavior. However, he always leaves his mark in evaluation and analysis, thereby in making probabilistic predictions. Ajit Shukla holds a graduate degree in Science and time to time appears on national and regional TV programs.

His areas of interest also include anthropological studies. Based in New Delhi, he is fluent in Hindi, English and Bhojpuri.

Amit Saini
A post graduate in commerce, Amit Saini also holds a one-year diploma in basic computer course. He has over 8 years of experience in dealing with various aspects related to quantitative research projects such as quality control of CATI calls, monitoring and managing the data collection process.

A native of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, he is proficient in Hindi and English languages.

Gaura Shukla
She is a keen academician with over 16 years of experience in teaching and handling academic projects. She has a rich experience of teaching students at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels in subjects like Animal Tissue Culture and Biochemistry.

For past few years, as Director Research of CVoter Foundation, she has been involved in coordinating research projects for various Universities. This involves coordinating with the academicians, faculties and Ph.D. scholars from the international academic institutes of high repute like Yale, Minnesota, Berkeley and Princeton University. She has been instrumental in managing and coordinating the academic research programs that cater to socio-economic and political public opinion research. She also coordinates the primary research in India for ISSP [International Social Survey Program], Win Gallup, WVS [World Value Surveys], TI [Transparency International], World Well Being Index and Globescan.

She has done her Masters in Biotechnology and PGD in Intellectual Property Rights Law. She knows English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi.

Her hobbies include cooking, music and reading books.

Haidar Ali
Haidar Ali holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and Applications (MCA). He has over 6 years of experience in software development. Currently, working as a Senior Web Programmer, Haidar Ali has been a part of CVoter since November 2011. His primary responsibilities are - understanding software requirements, developing high code quality applications and implementing other IT requirements. He has expertise in requirement gathering, effort estimation, design, development, testing, code optimization and review. He has the ability to work on new technology, has leadership qualities & pro-active problem solving attitude. Haidar Ali has been playing a key role in dealing with IT requirements of survey and research projects of CVoter.

His interests include bike riding, playing mobile games and watching action movies.

Jitender Kumar
A commerce graduate, Jitender Kumar is a research enthusiast. He is equipped with over a decade-long experience in dealing with various aspects of quantitative research projects through quality control of CATI calls; he also looks after the monitoring & management of the data collection process. Based in Delhi, Jitender Kumar has knowledge of Hindi, English & Punjabi languages.

His passion include playing cricket.

Manish Tripathi
APost Graduate in political science and journalism, Manish Tripathi has almost a decade-long association with CVoter. He has vast experience of handling various aspects related to research and survey projects such as field management, team coordination and data collection. Manish Tripathi also has in qualitative analysis of election data and auditing of the CATI calls.

He has been playing a key role in various survey and research projects of CVoter.

Neelabh Tyagi
A science graduate, Neelabh Tyagi holds a Masters degree in Computer Science and Applications (MCA). Neelabh Tyagi has over 15 years of experience in software development, which includes 5+ years of experience in project management and software development life cycle process. Neelabh Tyagi has expertise in kick-off meetings with clients, requirement gathering, effort estimation, SRS and Use Cases Documentation, Requirement Traceability Metrics Documentation, Technology and Framework Analysis and Identification, Resource and Task Allocation.

Also, he has immense experience of coordinating with design, development and QA team for tracking the project status, successful delivery, code optimization and review. He has the ability to work on new technologies and has a pro-active problem-solving attitude. He has incisive understanding of software development, focusing on delivering a software product with high code quality. He has been appreciated by clients for the sincerity shown by him and his team in delivering the projects on time.

He has been associated with CVoter since January 2014 as Head of the IT division. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of handling all the software and IT assignments of the CVoter and our clients.

Rahul Sharma
Rahul is an accomplished Executive Assistant with 13 years of rich corporate experience in supporting senior leaders who hold strategically important positions. He has the proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects, plan and orchestrate work to ensure the senior executives’ priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld.

Rahul is always open to learn new skills and take on challenging projects. He is a trusted confidant of CVoter assisting the Founder Director and other Directors of the company apart from handling the operations of CATI, managing the national & international conferences of CVoter, servicing clients and maintaining a cordial relationship with them.

Rahul holds a Bachelor degree from Delhi University followed by a Diploma in Computer Applications from Webcom Technologies, U.S.
A strong devotee of Krishna, he believes in Law of Karma which says that ‘No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end’.
He is an avid movie buff and loves to play cricket in his spare time.

Sanjay Kala
Sanjay Kala has 12 years of experience of qualitative and quantitative research and questionnaire designing. A post graduate in political science, he also holds a diploma in computer application. He has immense experience of field management and team coordination for the research and survey related projects. He has worked in over 25 states of India during election period for conducting opinion polls, exit polls and qualitative research. In 2013, he was in-charge of a major project of the Chhattisgarh government - Project USHA (Urban Statistics for HR & Assessment). In this project, the team under Sanjay Kala collected more than 1 lakh socio-economic slum survey data within 9 months, including from the Naxal-affected areas of Bastar and Dantewada. Presently, he is working as Regional coordinator at CVoter. He is fluent in Hindi, English, Nepali and Garhwali.

He likes travelling, Tracking and cooking.

Satyendra Jha
Equipped with B.A. History (Hons.) degree from Magadh University, Satyendra Jha is involved in providing administrative and secretarial support to CVoter. Duties assigned to Satyendra Jha include efficient handling of confidential correspondence, managing important documents, coordinating with the media and other stakeholders for the successful completion of the projects.

With twenty-two years of work experience as Office Coordinator, he has been coordinating with the media for the last sixteen years for CVoter.

He has also played a key role in organizing a series of workshops for journalists of 12 northern states of India, such as workshops for National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Udayan Sharma Foundation, Samyak Foundation and UNDP project TAHA. He has knowledge of Hindi, English &Maithili languages.

Shaleja Mahajan
A science graduate with a diploma in PGDBM, Shaleja Mahajan has 8 years of experience in managing the CATI Centre and human resource for the same. She is also involved in HR related activities from last 5 years and is managing the coordination of various departments in the company. She has been a part of various projects involving election, social and market research. Based in Noida she is proficient in English, Hindi and Punjabi languages.

Travelling excites her, reading rejuvenates her and cooking is a vent out for her. To explore, to observe and to experiment is something which excites her especially in the field of medical science and Nutrition.

Shalinder Mahajan
Director Operations of CVoter Foundation

A graduate from Delhi University, Shalinder is a trained Computer Expert with over 25 years of Market and Social Research Experience. He is responsible for C-Voter’s operations across South Asia, including research services and electronic data processing. Has a proven track record of consistent performance, ability to think strategically and act tactically. He is Life Member of WAPOR (World Association of Public Opinion Research). He has overseen the entire operations of a number of survey studies carried out in socially and communally turbulent areas like Kashmir and Gujarat. He has also worked in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and South Africa for various International Clients.

Based in New Delhi, he is fluent in Hindi, English, Urdu and Punjabi. He loves to cook and travel.

Sunder Singh
Equipped with 8 years of working experience with CVoter, Sunder Singh has been a part of various projects related to parliamentary and assembly elections. He has played key role in conducting pre & post poll research. Responsibilities entrusted to Sunder Singh during research projects include hiring researchers for fieldwork, training researchers and supervisors for quality control and monitoring the data collection process. He has also been playing a key role in coordinating between the back office call auditing, CATI & field researchers to ensure speedy collection of the latest data during exit polls. His expertise includes analyzing the data and preparing reports based on the fieldwork.

He likes playing cricket, football and badminton.

Sushil Kumar
A post graduate in Economics & Education, Sushil Kumar is a dynamic, creative, and result-oriented young professional. He has vast experience in research and analysis, who seeks to develop and learn further expertise in the related field. A highly motivated person with strong communication skills, Sushil Kumar has worked in several election and public opinion research projects. He has 17 years of experience (including 7 years of experience as a freelance researcher) of working with C-Voter in different capacities. In Quantitative Research projects, he handles all aspects related to pre &post poll research, which includes designing questionnaire for surveys, deciding sample size, deciding strategies for field work like target area and people, hiring researchers for field work, training researchers & supervisors for quality control. His responsibilities also include coordinating between the back office CATI & field researchers to ensure quick and latest data during exit poll. In Qualitative Research projects, Sushil Kumar visits Parliamentary & Assembly constituencies, interact with journalists, academics; politicians etc., to discuss various aspects of the constituencies.

Yash Kumar
Yash is a graduate. A goal-driven accountant with over 14 years of experience. His core skills include taxation, regulatory compliance, budgeting and forecasting. He is an expert in analytics and in-depth reporting.
Yash is a fitness freak and loves Biking.

Yashwant Deshmukh
Yashwant Deshmukh is a keen follower of media and education sectors as a first-generation entrepreneur. He has worked on various assignments and start-ups in many transitional states and societies across Asia, America, Europe and Africa.

He is trained in Evaluation of Peace Process and conflict resolution from INCORE (Institute of Conflict Research) in University of Ulster-Northern Ireland (UK), as International observer from EHRO (Election & Human Rights Observation) in University of Bergen (Norway) and continues to be trained as CERA (Certified elections and registrations administrator) from The Election Center at University of Auburn (USA).

He is founder–director of C-Voter, leading expert agency with about 25 years of experience in Public Opinion Research & Election Management. The Center for Voting Opinion & Trends in Election Research (C-Voter) was started in 1993 as initiative to act as an interface between the people and the polity. Over two decades now, it has established itself as one of the leading research groups of Public Opinion apart from Socio-Economic-Political & Developmental studies.

He is the President elect of WAPOR Asia. And Principal Investigator for ISSP, WVS, WWBi etc. As a seasoned journalist, he has anchored/produced more than 1200 hours of news and current affairs programs. His expert comments on Indian and South Asian social trends are regularly sought after by major international news groups including BBC, Voice of America, Reuters and AFP.

Yashwant Deshmukh is an accomplished speaker, mentor, coach and trainer for media and communications students. He has taken workshops in International as well as Indian universities.
